Useful website’s and guidance

  1. CL:AIRE is a UK charity that provides training resources and promotes the raising of standards within the contaminated land industry through accreditation schemes and different initiatives. Their “WALL” (Water and Land Library) provides numerous guidance resources.  Water & Land Library (claire.co.uk)

  2. EPG are a leading design and risk assessment consultancy specialising in contaminated land. They have been involved in developing and writing numerous best practice guidance documents used within our industry.  EPG provide technical guidance through their forum Technical Forum – EPG Ltd.   3. CIRIA is an independent body that provides best practice guidance documents and training services. CIRIA

  4. The Society of Brownfield Risk Assessors (SoBRA) provides training resources to members and accreditation services to contaminated land practitioners Welcome – SoBRA

  5. Contaminated Land Report 11 (CLR11) was replaced by the Environment Agency with Land Contamination: Risk Management or LCRM. Land contamination risk management (LCRM) – GOV.UK 

  6. The Ireland Brownfield Network aims to promote appropriate assessment and sustainable reuse of brownfield land.  They published a paper on demonstrating competency which is provided here
